ZEISS Thailand Cultivates Over 100 Trees for a Better, Greener Earth

23 July 2018

THAILAND – Carrying forward ZEISS Thailand’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility event, over 90 ZEISS employees travelled to Thailand’s third largest national park, Khao Yai on 23 July 2018 to hold their tree planting activity.

Together with a few villagers from Wang Ka Tha Subdistrict, the team planted Acacia Mangium Willds with the core objective of restoring the forest, its biological diversity, and to further combat climate change and its impact towards the environment. With Thailand’s tropical climate, perennial plants such as Acacia Mangium Willds are well-suited to thrive as they have developed specialized features that allow them to survive extreme climatic and environmental conditions.
In total, 104 trees are cultivated for a better, greener Earth.

The rewarding day concluded with a teambuilding activity and a dinner party for the staff.
