ZEISS Partners with Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC)

Revolutionizing Research & Development

Singapore, 28/01/2015.

Today marked the grand opening of the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) in Singapore. ZEISS Microscopy has entered into a partnership with ARTC to establish best in class competency to rapidly transform research and development.

The facility houses the versatile ZEISS Stemi 2000-C stereo microscope to be used in applications that include micro-imaging and basic measurements – providing brilliant, distortion-free images, even at low magnifications.

Apart from the microscope, ARTC has also purchased a ZEISS ACCURA coordinate measuring machine from the Industrial Metrology business group of ZEISS. The machine will be used to measure, validate and qualify any object with high accuracy and flexibility.

The opening of the centre was officiated by Mr. S. Iswaran, Second Minister for Home Affairs and Trade & Industry. Mr. Ven Raman, Managing Director of the ZEISS Group for Southeast Asia, was there to sign the Membership Agreement along with other ARTC members. The signing ceremony with all of ARTC’s members on stage, was witnessed by the minister and senior government agency officials from A*STAR, SPRING Singapore, EDB, NTU, and JTC.
