Decision-Making Matrix - SMILE vs LASIK vs TransPRK vs ICL

Prof. Dr. Dan Z. Reinstein

Given the multiple variables and viable treatment options that need to be considered, it could get confusing for both patients and surgeons to decide which refractive error correction procedure is the most suitable.
In this webinar, Professor Dan Reinstein will share with us the advantages and disadvantages of each of the four modern solutions - SMILE®, LASIK, TransPRK, and ICL - and his pearls on creating a decision matrix that will clear up the confusion.

Decision-Making Matrix – Managing Presbyopia

Dr. med. Detlev R. H. Breyer

Presbyopia is an age-related condition whereby our eyes, even emmetropic eyes, progressively lose its ability to accommodate as we age. Although a normal phenomena, it could significantly decrease the quality of our vision. Fortunately, there are many viable options available to effectively manage this condition, such as PRESBYOND® Laser Blended Vision and Refractive Lens Exchange with EDoF or Multifocal IOL in patients with Cataract.
In this session, Dr. Detlev Breyer will discuss his decision matrix to determine which treatment option is best for which patient.

Understanding Your Patients’ Motivations and Barriers

Dr. Ian Chan

Laser vision correction is indeed an elective solution. Each patient has his or her own motivations and barriers to decide whether they would go for a procedure and/or when. It is, thus, very crucial that we, as surgeons, understand any concerns or questions our patients have and equip them with the necessary knowledge so they can decide for themselves what is best for the well-being of their eyes.
In this webinar, Dr. Ian Chan will discuss how he communicates with his patients and leverages this partnership to reach new heights of patient satisfaction.
