Dealing with a moving target
Carl Zeiss S.E.Asia aims to keep staff informed with the up-to-date alerts on the virus. Staff requiring to travel overseas must seek their supervisor's approval before travelling and are advised to avoid coming in to work at the slightest hint of flu or of feeling unwell on their return. Carl Zeiss S.E.Asia has barred travelling to SARS-affected countries of Beijing, Guandong, Hong Kong, Shanxi, Taiwan, Mongolia etc.
A "SARS Watch" team consisting of staff from Australasia, India and S.E.Asia has been set up to clue staff in on the latest in the region as it's not enough just to read about SARS in the region, The more people are informed about the virus, the more they can take the precautions that could well save their lives and their family's.
